Will you help us meet or exceed our $10,000 goal?
As St. Matthias students continue reading, they'll earn rewards and raise money for our school! Rewards along the way include out-of-uniform TAG Days, lunch with our librarian, Mrs. O’Hare, extra recess time (just in time for our new playground areas!), a dance party, and a popsicle and ice cream party! With reading at home and in school, our pre-k through 8th grade students can reach and exceed our top level of 1,000 minutes read during the month of April! That would be a great accomplishment!
In addition to promoting healthy reading skills and habits, the Read-A-Thon is a fundraiser for our school. Last year we raised just under $9,000 in the midst of the pandemic. It’d be wonderful to significantly increase that number this year! With fresh air and plenty of time to play and reset being so valuable and appreciated, the funds raised this year will be used to upgrade the outdoor basketball/activity courts, the tot lot, and more at St. Matthias. We're grateful for families and friends, coworkers/colleagues, and parishioners of St. Matthias. Businesses can support us too!
