How Your Support Will Help Us:

We are excited to kick off our Read-A-Thon fundraiser at Kokanee!

As parents, we want our kids to be excited about reading, and last year's Read-a-thon reminded us of the power of an all-school event. Our Read-a-thon gives friends and family, near and far, the opportunity to encourage your child to read more and help our community, all while boosting their education. Kids will earn prizes for getting started, reading, and raising donations through their personal Read-a-thon page. In addition, the top 10 readers and raisers for each grade will be entered in a raffle to win a new bike!

You may be wondering why you should support PTA and where the funds will go. Our mission as PTA is to support and advocate for our children by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a safe and healthy learning environment where students can "Be the Best Me I Can Be." We can't do that without your support.

Funds donated to PTA go directly back to the Kokanee community. Below are some examples of programs brought to Kokanee by PTA:

Education programs: Raz Kids, Pebble Go, & Scholastic News
Art Docent Program
Field Trips
Teacher Grants
Events: Celebrations of the World, Reflections, Candy buy back, Socktober costume dance, 5th grade graduation, Carnival, Summer play dates & Welcome Back events
